It shouldn’t because you don’t need much of the cream, a little goes a long way! Also, if you’re using warm water, that should help it run through the drain/pipes without problem. You can also add more olive oil if you are worried about it.

Our plumber told us NEVER to put oils down the drain with warm or hot water. That makes them turn into sludge and cling to the inside of the pipe and eventually clog it. He said to ALWAYS wash oils down the drain with COLD water. That way they stay in tact, and some will even solidify (like coconut oil), and wash right through the pipes. Don’t ask me how I know…

You can add about 1/8 vitamin E oil ( or open a capsule), to preserve it. If your bathroom temperature is warm it might soften since the coconut oil goes liquid, but maybe the Shea butter might keep it at a good consistency??

The shea butter does help. The consistency won’t be like typical shaving creams that you buy at the store but it should still have a very similar effect.

I like cold pressed extra virgin olive oil. The recipe should last a few weeks (mixing before each use) but I would make smaller batches to keep the ingredients fresh.

I am a razor kind of guy so I tried this out and have got to say it worked great and left my skin moisturized after. Felt and looked like that old school shave butter from back in the day! Lol.

Add a couple tablespoons of Dr. Bronners non-scented liquid soap for some lather – just my 2 cents :)

I don’t like this shaving product, it does not lather up at all. I use a silver tip badger brush and a safety rasor
