Have you tried making your own dip before? If you’re accustomed to buying them at your grocery store, the idea of making your own might be a bit intimidating. But I’m here to prove how easy it really is!
This Tahini Recipe is a great starter. It’s got — count ’em — just two ingredients, but it really packs a flavor punch. If you haven’t tried tahini before, I think you’ll really enjoy it. Tahini is a dip/spread that’s terrific with veggies, pita chips or even on sandwiches. Because it’s made from sesame seeds, it lowers cholesterol, protect your heart and even fights blood pressure. Not bad for a small seed!
Let’s make this tahini recipe …
Start by heating the oven to 350 F. On a slightly greased baking sheet, spread the package of sesame seeds and bake them for 8–10 minutes. This step is going to give the seeds so much extra flavor with next to no effort.
When the seeds have finished roasting, remove them from the oven and let them cool for about 15 minutes.
Then add the sesame seeds and olive oil to the food processor. Pulse the ingredients on high. You might need to scrape down the sides every once in awhile. Keep pulsing until the mix is smooth and creamy.
You’re done! Because it’s so easy, there’s no reason you shouldn’t make this tahini recipe ASAP. Enjoy!
