Vegetable recall - Dr. Axe

Recently, Whole Foods Markets voluntarily recalled multiple products in fear of listeria contamination. Costumers remain concerned about this vegetable recall due to this latest listeria outbreak.

Although no illnesses have been reported to date, anyone who bought foods included in the vegetable recall, from Oct. 10 to Nov. 4, 2019, may return the products for a full return.

Whole Foods costumers are also urged to seek medical care if they suspect being exposed to listeria, a dangerous bacterium that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections.

Findings

Concerns of listeria contamination lead to Whole Foods recalling 70 products sold in several states throughout the U.S.

There are a range of products included in the recall, including salads, vegetable dishes, chicken dishes and Chinese food that’s offered in the market’s hot and cold bars, chef’s cases and packaged sections.

The people most at risk of becoming ill from listeria are pregnant women and their newborns, adults over the age of 65, and people with weakened immune systems.

Listeria symptoms can start the day you eat a contaminated food, or they can begin days or weeks after contamination. The most common signs of listeriosis include:
