Note: Citrus essentials oils are highly concentrated and are full of healthy acidic properties! Because of this, we recommend you use glass or tin containers when storing them so they do not eat away any of the plastic.

It would take longer, but you could use red rose petals (make sure they’re organic) and infuse one of your oils. I quit using beeswax and use cocoa butter with the shea, olive oil and castor oil. It’ll melt easier if you drop it in the car or something, but hasn’t got that waxy feeling.

What do you know about gout? My husband suffers from severe gout in his knees and ankles. We would appreciate any and all recommendations on treatment and reading material. He saw a Rhuemetologist yesterday and is on strong medication starting at a low level and moving upward. He has been suffering for 10 years and his uric acid level is so high there is not a number. We have monitored food, beverage, meds, etc…

I made this and it is great! The scent is subtle and it feels so nice :)
I’ve been giving it away to friends and people who are helping me with class projects.
    Thank you!

To me, coconut oil and all it’s forms are toxic, but is in so many of today’s recipes. Is pastured lard an alternative for all these home remedies, recipes, etc….? I am struggling to find products without some sort of coconut or palm hidden in the ingredients. (Jojoba oil also causes the same oral allergy reactions. I am still trying to decipher what else I am allergic to because even when staying away from these ingredients, I still have minor problems of eczema.)

Hi. I made this recipe. I found on line that 1 tbsp equals to .5 Oz. When i bought the bees wax, the bag stated that each bar was 1 oz so i used 5 bars that came in the bag for this recipe. My lip balm came out really hard. I can’t get it to slide smoothly.
Did i use too much bees wax? I also forgot to add the 2 drops of vitamin E.
I already put it in my lip tins. What an i do to fix it?

    BTW,
When i was making this recipe, I left my kitchen door window open and 4 BEES came inside my kitchen!! I closed the window immediately and there were more bees waiting outside to come in! Did they think I stole their wax?? :-)
