I have had keratosis pilaris forever mostly on the backs of my arms and upper thighs. This is red, rough, bumpy skin. I have used many products to help with this and they’re all very chemically. Do you think this homemade lotion will help or do you have another remedy or oil recommendation that may help improve this condition? Thanks!

I have Grave’s Disease and it is under control with prescription medicines. I am off all Gluten, dairy (other than occasional cheese), caffeine (REALLY miss my morning coffee), stay away from nightshade veggies almost all the time and have NO processed foods. I take a lot of supplements and eat most organic or all natural foods. I don’t want to have my thyroid radiated. What can I do? Thanks so much!

My husband in last 2 yrs has had open heart surgery, hernia revision surgery and 1 yr ago March spent another week in hospital with a blood infection caused from having a dental cleaning done -3 days previous – he fell at home ended up being rushed to ER as all readings were out of control – placed on high antibiotics IVs for 6 days and sent home with six wks on high dosage of antibiotics, he developed cellulittis in one leg while there, and an area of about 3 ” round rash that has come and gone over the past 9 months – In December after having a severe cough and energy loss this sore/area on leg erupted and spreading a burning itching rash all over his body, Diagnosed as a systemic blood yeast infection- we walked away from choosing to use the “medical” usual prescription drugs and sought out a Dr. who is treating it through detox and with a strict diet and supplement program-now almost 3 months later we are beginning to see relief from the all nights of no sleep and itching and burning slowing down -Have used a salve with coconut & beeswax and ylang ylang oils, frankincense, lavender, helichrysium and melaluca What ess oils can be used differently along with coconut and beeswax to softened the dry rough bubbly looking skin now and help in healing – Its a joy to see some lite at the end of this tunnel ! Hes been a trooper at 88 yrs of age —
    Thank you

I read a lot about Frankincense being good for pain, well it just made a believer out of me. I had a tight muscle in my upper leg. So I put 3 drops on it, and rubed it in. I tell you no lie, within 30 seconds the pain was gone.

Why would you write an article like this without telling people where to get the ingredients?? So….where????

Can you suggest some brands of essential oils I can trust and buy? There are so many ‘cowboys’ out there! I live in London England btw.

Do you have a brand of essential oils that you recommend? And why do you recommend them?
Am currently doing a lot of reading about essential oils, trying to learn. It is a whole new world.

No more basil cell carcinoma if you make a coconut oil blend and eat your greens. Per triathlon MD years ago and has worked for me. Sunscreen has detrimental ingredients.

My 72 year old father has COPD, severe atopic dermatitis which has his hands and legs from knees down completely raw and oozing, he is extremely anxious and agitated like a caged lion, he weighs 98 pounds. It was suggested to me that I use your recipe and make lotion for him with Frankincense, laurel leaf, peppermint, eucalyptus, melaleuca, lemon, ravensara and cardamom. Are these oils ok to put on open, oozing sores? Any suggestions you would have?

After having a few pre-cancerous spots on my face, the dermatologist insists I wear a sunscreen every day. Do you know what spf this lotion would have? Would it be enough protection if I am not out in the sun for long period of time? I really think that the chemicals of sunscreen will be more detrimental to my skin than nothing. I have had extremely dry skin since birth and thyroid was removed due to nodules and it was non-functional. They found early autoimmune in each of the nodules–not sure what one.

I’m taking calcium, magnesium, D³, NAC, omega³ and Lipoflavonoid. I read that Omega³ should be taken with high fat meals, and NAC should be taken on an empty stomach. Are there other considerations for the remaining supplements?

I’m trying out a lot of your DIY recipies. I’m trying to find pure myrrh essential oil, but am finding blends with grapeseed oil, and Indian, French, and Egyptian varieties. Which is best for these homemade lotions, soaps, balms, etc? I have been using Edens Garden. Do you have a go-to brand?

    • Sue on

Try Do Terra pure therapeutic essential oils. You can find a wellness consultant online in your area or try Amazon, they sell all of the oils there. Myrrh is an amazing oil, as is Frankincense. They treat a myriad of ailments in the body!!

      • Shannon on

Do not buy your doTerrra oils or any essential oils on Amazon, There is no guarantee the oils sold there are not counterfeit or adulterated/diluted.
go to the dotTerra website and find a wellness advocate in your area for the best service and promise of quality.

I have a friend that has a disease called HS where she gets boils that break out all over her body and the majority of the doctors out there do not know much about it and never really seem to want to learn about it , she suffers with it so and takes pain meds for it, because it is so painful. There are a lot of people out there that r suffering with this disease and so far they have found no cure. when reading your article about the leaky gut problem I was inthrolled with the information that you had and could not take my eyes off of your article and also about the oregano oil. Thank you so much for all of your information and research, I’m sure that the leaky gut problem might apply to her disease.

I had a rash on one finger for nearly 2 years. It began at the tip and gradually over that time, worked it’s way down to the bottom of my finger. I wondered if it would eventually just keep traveling to other parts of my body! Water was the worst enemy. And one cannot work in the kitchen like I do and avoid water!

I casually put some Frankincense oil on it a few times and forgot about it. To my amazement, this rash is over!!!! Just the oil directly on the skin. I am a believer!!

I like your DIY receipe for skin and hair, however, I do not know certain name of essential oils as ingredients. Is there a website for ordering this essential oils and how about the shipping charge if ordered from overseas(Hong Kong)? Is there any free shipping if the order exceeded certain amount? Thanks for your reply.
